We adopted Lara from Paws Chicago in May 29 2003. A police officer found her and her siblings in a dumpster and brought the puppies to the shelter. We do not have an exact birth date but Paws' paperwork shows March 21, 2003. Thus we accepted that our dog was born on the spring equinox of 2003. We maintain an extensive gallery with Lara's photos including pictures from her first day at home.

Obi found us on 4/23/06. He was a stray that went past Breeda as she was working in our garden. We took him in and tried to find his owners. He had no collar, no microchip, his nails were worn from walking for too long, and he was really skinny. He is a Shiba Inu mix and our vet believes he was born in early 2005.
